Wesak Valley panorama It is said that the ceremony of Wesak is held in this valley at the time of the full moon of May. A vast crowd assembles in the valley, in front of the great rock table at the end of the valley. The valley as photographed matches the description of Alice A. Bailey perfectly. She describes it in The Unfinished Autobiography on pages 38-41 as "large and oval shaped, rocky and with high mountains on either side."
Wesak Valley Rock Table Here is a closer photo of the rock table at the end of the valley. Alice A. Bailey describe it as "...an immense rock, rising out of the floor of the valley like a great table." (The Unfinished Autobiography Alice A. Bailey). It is said that the Christ and the Buddha conduct the ceremony of Wesak from this rock table.
Wesak Valley Rock Table closeup Here is a blowup of a part of the previous photo of the rock table at the end of the valley. You can see, in that valley, a prayer flag pole, a triangular structure near the base of the rock cliff (in the lower-left part of the photo). This may give some idea of the immense scale of the valley.
