Spring in Tibet In the spring, the land comes to life, a multitude of wildflowers grow, and the land is green. Wesak is held, it is said, at the full moon of Taurus, which usually falls in May.
There is some confusion as to the exact date of Wesak. According to the travelers, it is held in Tibet one month later than the May full moon. But it is also true that the Tibetan calendar is one month later than the one used in the Common Era, beginning about the end of January. This matter still has to be resolved.
