The important thing is that we work on purifying ourselves in both thought and speech, so that what we do and say is pure and, whether we are aware of it or not, it can bear fruit.

Movement 9
Purifying/Sharing Subtle Energies/Scattering the Seed

When we get to the stage of Purifying we are really beginning to nourish others. From the experiences in our lives we have derived great wisdom, but this wisdom must be purified before it can really be of service. So we need to blow away the chaff and husks, so that others may benefit as we scatter these seeds of wisdom.

We begin this movement by putting the first three fingers of both hands in front of our lips and, as we blow on them, our arms gently move out horizontally to our sides, scattering them in the wind, without knowing how or where they will fall. In the same way, we can inspire others, quite unknown to ourselves. Often it is a throw-away word that someone says that just illumines something for us. Sometimes people say, "You know, when you said that, it really made sense. It just lit up my day and shed light on what I was doing," and one wasn't even aware of saying anything.

The important thing is that we work on purifying ourselves in both thought and speech, so that what we do and say is pure and, whether we are aware of it or not, it can bear fruit. So we purify ourselves; we purify those seeds of wisdom, and drop them on our way along life's journey.

In this movement, we give out energy from our center of higher creative expression. This is the energy which has been progressively rising through the last few movements, from the lower, denser part of our body, through the solar plexus and heart (in the movements of Liberation and Clapping), and which is now expressing itself through our throat center, as we make manifest the results of our inner work on ourselves. We also draw in to ourselves the subtle energies of Nature to balance our own. This self-expression is the final stage in this first cycle of our spiritual journey. Our Soul becomes manifest, and we can finally transcend mere physical existence as, symbolically, we learn to fly.
