This dance symbolizes the elevation of consciousness that takes place when people have been working on themselves for a long time, and this momentum really flows in their life.

Movement 5
Elevation/Soaring

After we performed the Ascending, a magnetic sort of momentum is formed within us, and we find that the two sides of our being are working in harmony. We want to do something with this, and this leads us naturally into the next movement of Elevation.

When the music changes, our left hand is up, and we keep it up on the next step, as we bring the right hand up to join it, so that the two are pointing up together at an angle of 67½°. Then as our left foot comes forward again, our arms swing forward, down and back, again at 67½°. This swinging of the arms forward and up as the right foot steps forward, then down and back as the left foot steps forward, continues until the music changes again.

This dance symbolizes the elevation of consciousness that takes place when people have been working on themselves for a long time, and this momentum really flows in their life. The two sides of their being, their thinking and feeling natures, are working together in harmony. They make incredible progress in developing themselves both as people and in elevating their spiritual awareness.
