Movement 2
Reconciling/Harmonizing
Once we begin to awaken, we discover that we are all at sixes and sevens with ourselves. We are out of harmony. So the second movement is called Reconciling, or Harmonizing, if you like. We need to harmonize the dualities within ourselves. In the world of Spirit we are all one, because reality is one, but here in this physical world, we live in a world of dualities — black and white, male and female, thinking and feeling — all the different dualities you can think of, as well as day and night, conscious and unconscious, and so on.
Before we can make progress we have to harmonize those dualities. We bring our hands together in front of the heart, because all harmonizing of unresolved problems takes place in the heart. We bring our hands together, symbolizing the bringing together of the polarities of the right and left brain, the thinking and feeling sides of our nature. Our fingers gently touch, and the healing energy flowing through our palms crosses the gap between them.
When we are learning to heal, we start by feeling the energy crossing the gap between the two palms. We bring the hands together, so that the energy can flow between them. Then, as our right foot goes forward, our arms swing out sidewards to shoulder level. The movement is very free and easy. Just allow the arms to swing out sideways from the shoulders, out and together again. You will find that the more you let yourself go, the more your shoulders will loosen up, your chest will begin to expand, your breathing will be freer and fuller, and — your heart will begin to open. You will take in more oxygen, more negative ions, more prana (as they call it in the East), and more healing energy. That is how the revitalization begins to take place.
